In the study "Ændringer prøveformer giver øget kønsforskel i folkeskolens eksamener" ("Changes in examination methods increase gender gap in primary school exams", ROCKWOOL Fonden, 2025), the author suggests that primary school examination methods should be changed to make them more fair.
However, the so-called study is only interesting because of the systematically misleading discussion of three central aspects: sex, standardized tests and an increasing curriculum.
The study is analyzed and commented based on Bourdieu's social theories of gender and of habitus, as well as on the author's theory of evaluations/evaluative practices, and it is concluded that the study risks worsening the very conditions it aims to improve - should its recommendations be implemented.”
