About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Purpose and goal

This open-access electronic journal aims at providing a platform for theoretical papers in any field of psychology. Only contributions in English are accepted. The journal is published with one issue per year, freely available for everyone and there is no submission fee. The names of the Associate Editor and reviewers involved with the article will be provided on the article’s first page, in addition to pertinent dates (e.g. date when submitted, date when accepted).

Peer Review Process

The journal consists of two main sections, where the first is reserved for Articles that are subject to transparent peer-review. The second part consists of Commentaries on articles published in Acta Theoretica Psychologica.

After receiving a contribution, the editors in chief will decide if the contribution is within the scope of the Journal. If this is the case, a peer review follows this, where the contribution will be reviewed in a transparent peer review process by several reviewers.

The author(s) will be informed of the result of the peer review (minor changes required, major changes required, reject).

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Works are released under a Creative Commons BY license, which provides unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.

This journal has no submission or publication fees.
